What is e-mail? We continue our basic computer training course for seniors and beginners with an online tutorial answering the question, what is e-mail? The short computer lesson starts by explaining about email before going on to show how an email address is obtained using an internet service provider and a webmail provider. The tutorial is an easy to follow computer lesson for seniors or beginners and is the first of our basic email lessons.
Using my email
Our basic computer training for beginners and seniors continues with an online computer tutorial, using my email. The tutorial takes a look at a basic Gmail account and talks through the email folders including my email inbox, sent mail and how to organise your email received mail.
The beginners computer training then shows how to compose email or create e-mail showing where to add email recipients and those mail recipients intended for information. The seniors online tutorial talks about adding file attachments to your emails and the limitations to consider.
Reply to my email
This basic computer training tutorial continues on from our lesson called using my email. The computer lesson for seniors and beginners demonstrates the reply to email, forward emails and print email commands frequently used when using webmail and an email client.
The tutorial is one of our basic computer lessons and shows, using a Gmail account and Hotmail account, how to use firstly, the reply to e-mail command followed by how to forward emails and finally points out the print icon for printing emails, the beginners lesson also demonstrates the seperate menus where all three basic computer commands can be found.
Office Word Layout
The next of our computer courses for beginners and seniors takes a look at productivity and we start with Word tutorials, how to use Microsoft Office Word. This computer lesson demonstrates the layout of Microsoft word, because when you break down the layout and understand how Microsoft Word is arranged it becomes a lot easier to use.
In this word tutorial we demonstrate how the Ribbon is broken down into the three basic elements, Tabs, Groups and Commands. The tutorial then goes on to look at the home tab and the file tab, talking about the Microsoft Office button for those using word 2007, as the online computer lessons about Microsoft Office Word are shown using Microsoft Office Word 2010 but any differences with Word 2007 are pointed out. Word Tutorials – Creating a simple flyer
In the next of our Microsoft Office Word tutorials we show how to create a simple flyer using word. This computer lesson for seniors and beginners is part of our word computer course and starts to demonstrate how easy it is to create pieces of work with a little planning and an understanding of the Office Word commands.
The computer lesson demonstrates how to make a flyer by producing a lost cat poster. We start with a simple bit of text which, using the word commands, we change by altering the font type, creating a title, headings and changing the font size. The online word tutorial demonstrates how to select text for altering and uses some basic word commands before running a spell check and sending the flyer for printing and saving.
