Sending an E-Mail

1. Type in the address bar and press Enter.2. Click on your e-mail address and then enter your password in the password field. Press  Enter to log in.3. Click Hotmail — Inbox in the top Windows Live menu bar.4. Click New in the top Hotmail menu bar.5. In the field to the right of the word To:, enter the e-mail address you would like to send your e-mail to. In the field to the right of the word Subject:, enter a word or phrase summarizing the intended content of your e-mail.6. In the body of the e-mail, write your message.7. Click Send in the top Hotmail menu bar.

Adding Recipients to Your Contact List

Right after sending your message, you should be taken to a screen with the text “Your message has been sent.” If the recipient of your e-mail is not yet in your Contact List, the words “Not in your contact list” will be on this screen, followed by the e-mail address of the recipient.To add the recipient to your list, type their first and last name in the appropriate fields, then click the Add to contacts button.
