Our basic computer training course for seniors, beginners and computer novices continues with a short online tutorial asking what is the internet and explaining about the elements of the internet. The computer lesson is suitable for any beginner and for those looking to learn online and qualify in The European Computer Driving License (ECDL), the computer tutorial will cover element 6, the internet.

Understanding the internet is an important part of basic computer training and an essential part of  improving computer skills, during the lesson we try to answer what is the internet and explain how email, file sharing and particularly the world wide web fit within the internet.

Important for anyone learning new computer skills.

There are three main ways to change the home page, this is the page that your browser will start on when you first go on to the internet, called your home page. We have already demonstrated by changing our home page to Google as home page, but any web page can be set as your home page, although Google is probably the most common. The online computer lesson will demonstrate differnt commands from the control panel and on your browser helping beginners find their way around their computer.
